The PURA UV20-3 "all in one" filter/UV unit
If you are building a new system or revamping an old one, this unit is an inexpensive way to upgrade to larger filters and UV sterilization at the same time. The first two housings (left and middle) hold sediment and carbon filters that filter your water down to 5 microns (nominal) and remove taste, odor, and even chlorine from your water. The final housing (at right) holds a stainless steel chamber that forces the water to flow around a quartz glass sleeve and a UV lamp, which renders any dangerous microbes inert by changing their DNA in such a way that they can no longer reproduce.
